Established in 2005 subsequent to the acquisition of the Grove City, OH plant from 3M, Rubex Inc. has quickly positioned itself as one the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of Extruded Preformed Butyl Tape (EPBT) and Hot Applied Pumpable Butyl (HAPB). Over the past 40 years 3M structured this company to become a dominant force for EPBT/HAPB and our main objective is to build upon past success and introduce the Rubex™ brand name to a broader range of end user applications.
Rubex Inc. offers over 10 varieties of EPBT and one formula of HAPB. Each formula offers unique properties for general manufacturing, assembly and installation of Construction, Industrial and Transportation products.
Rubex™ EPBT are 100% solids, cross-linked butyl tapes that are specifically formulated to seal and prevent the leakage of water, air, moisture and dust assuring a weather tight gasket like seal in joints, pockets, seams, laps, flanges, curbs, harnesses, voids and penetrations. Rubex™ EPBT can also be used to seal dissimilar materials while reducing or preventing electrolysis, galvanic corrosion, thermal transfer, vibration, and noise. Rubex™ EPBT is available in many profiles, thicknesses and widths which are supplied in various length rolls & specialty sized pads.
